Date from James Ivory's note.
Aerogramme addressed to Mr. James Ivory and Ismail Merchant, 143, East 62nd Street, New York 21, U.S.A., postmarked May 29, 1963.
Letter contains messages from both Cyrus Jhabvala and Ruth Prawer Jhabvala, each in their own hand, both replying to an "anguished letter" from Ivory and Merchant.
Cyrus Jhabvala: reassuring Merchant and Ivory that the issue described in their "anguished letter" is "no great crime" and merely "a technical error due to ignorance or haste," which is easily rectified and which he will help with. Ruth Prawer Jhabvala: echoing and further elaboating on Jhab's reassurances; expressing dismay at the possibility of cuts to "the first Kitty's house scene," which she insists is "all right"; repeating "don't worry," and relating how much she "loved the picture of Ismail."
