Summary
Worrying that he went too far in his last letter (MA 4133.17) in referring to himself as "having been one of your lovers" and claiming that he still is "and shall be when the trumpet sounds"; musing on the afterlife; informing that he has finished a play, "The Supper Party", and that he will send her a copy so that she can advise on casting; remarking that he only goes to the theatre in London and that he is going there soon, as he is rewriting "several old musicals" which are being produced there; expecting not to live much longer, as he is in his 96th year; promising that, of a stack of letters he has, he will only respond to hers before he leaves for London; giving a temporary London address on the verso, as he is selling his "longtime flat".
