Summary
Speculating as to where the letter will reach her and her mail forwarding; being delighted that Betty Cromwell joined them for lunch, especially while Tripp is mourning the death of her husband, Edward Hillman; expressing gladness that she is reworking old material into a story and wondering if she should "fatten up" the book with personal experiences; discussing works recently published "parading Willie Maugham's homosexual slant" as "a bit below the belt" and being glad one cannot libel the dead, as unlike them, who knew about Maugham's "fondness for his secretaries", most of his readers would be shocked by the information; informing that he is finishing a musical with P.G. Wodehouse about Jeeves and Bertie Wooster.
