Noting that she originally sent this letter to Mrs. Stephan [Ruth Walgreens Stephan, writer, translator, and editor of The Tiger's Eye literary magazine in New York], but it was returned; updating Herbert on her health condition: "I've been sick in bed, in two different hospitals and at home, most of the time since last February"; notifying Herbert that she additionally sent him a copy of a pamphlet she published: "I don't suppose you'll care for my little pamphlet, but I'll send you one, in case you might know somebody who would like it."
