Summary
Discussing the selection process at the AIGA [American Institute of Graphic Arts]: "I agree with you that the complaints of the AIGA book committee were all very much a matter of personal taste and extremely aribtrary"; explaining why The Banyan Press has decided to stop submitting books to the AIGA; commenting on Cummington Press's interactions with the AIGA: "I know Cummington was very much dissatisfied with their attitude, but I don't know whether they continue to submit books or not"; updating Herbert on a possible acquisition for the NYPL: "I don't dare prod Miss [Ettie] Stettheimer further about the Crystal Flowers for the NYPL. We've mentioned it several times already. She doesn't know who should get it, you or the Berg collection, which her nephew-in-law guards".
