Expressing gladness that Herbert likes the play [Lindley Williams Hubbell's play, "The Birth of the Diatom: A Christmas Play", printed by The Banyan Press]; affirming that the envelopes that Herbert wanted ordered have been ordered and that half of the envelopes will be sent to Herbert and half of the envelopes will be sent to Hubbell; confirming that The Banyan Press retained numerous copies of the play, but they did not send out additional copies to other literary figures: "Yes we kept some copies ourselves but CVV [Carl Van Vechten] does NOT have one yet. We thought you would want to send them [Carl Van Vechten and Cummington Press] one."
