Thanking him for an invitation and promising to visit upon his return from the country; writing that he fears that the "marine remains of shells" he picked up in Folkstone "will not be very interesting to to so extensive an examiner of nature as you have proved yourself" and that he hopes the trouble he has caused the recipient will be "in some measure repaid by the examination" of them.
