Responding to a request for assistance in finding employment for his cousin; regretting that she is unable to help at present as openings for positions "are so few"; going on to say that she has settled in Manchester, where she has "had a great deal of political work to do" and where she is "organizing a very extensive emigration society"; informing him that she has nothing to do with the employment office "belonging to the Miss Faithfulls" on Regent Street, and explaining that she has no office any longer since ending her work at the Victoria magazine, noting that "any help I can give your cousin is through my own private influence & personal circle", and stressing that she will not be able to find anything for her at present.
