Addressed to: "Mr. Edridge / Margaret Street / Cavendish Square / London." Wrapper contains a Kingston postmark and other postmarks.
The final lines and signature of the letter are visible on the verso: the letter-writer appears to be "Susan Bathurst" and adds a postscript: "you ought to come were it only for me to pay [...] debts."

Summary
Edridge used the wrapper of a letter addressed to him as a sheet on which to draw, in pencil, Thomas Hearne and John Edmonds in conversation over pipes of tobacco. He includes lines of dialogue at the foot of the page.
