Summary
Thanking Balston for "an enjoyable (& useful) two days", mentioning that he went to Ringwood on the way back, but found nothing in the sale there, and noting that he did bring back a watercolor by H. Moreau from a previous sale; informing Balston that "neither Eliot nor George Churchill" will be able to come to the St. Thomas day dinner, and that he will probably be Woolley's only guest; announcing that he has finished the text of his "German book" and observing "that Methuens' are changing rather more than I had expected for the first two volumes of the series, i.e. 42/-."
