Summary
Writing that it is kind of Balston to be so interested a a portrait of Taylor by the painter (Alvaro) Guevara, giving his opinion that it is one of the artist's best works, writing that the Tate Gallery had wanted him to give it them years ago, and that he had no idea that it had been sold, adding "it must have been quite recently & probably owing to your kind efforts"; stating that it would be nice if he and "Mark" could come there at the same time, and that he will write to see "when he can fix it up"; advising Balston to not be too discouraged about his painting, and observing "it's a good sign not to be too satisfied with your own work."
