Summary
Sending him a list of books illustrated with her wood engravings, and specifying that she would like "The Bird Talisman" to be exhibited "as it has never been shown" and contains some color wood engravings; stating that she does think she "was much of a pioneer of the craft", as she knew no one "except Mrs B. Darwin [i.e. Elinor Mary Darwin] who knew about engraving; nor did I teach or inspire anyone else."; remarking that she at the Slade School from 1908 to 1911, and that she received a Sketch Club prize for a wood engraving in 1910, "but no one at the Slade took the least interest in wood-engraving."; adding that she will be coming to town and offering to visit him.
