Informing him that the sale of his painting the "Crucifixion" is settled, with the C.A.S. (Contemporary Art Society) contributing £20 and Mr. Withers contributing the other £20; writing that he spent a pleasant week end with Mr. Withers, that his duties at the Ackworth School begin on September 18, and that the sale of the Crucifixion should allow him to carry on until that time.
