Summary
Thanking Balston for trying to get him illustration work and remarking that should he hear from Constable or Macmillan he would find the work "very congenial"; stating that he is at present without money, that he has two pictures half completed, including a painting of the Last Supper and another of cherry trees in bloom, but that he finds it distressing to be without money and "obliged to stop because of that."
