Summary
Informing him that his interview with Mr. Gibbings (i.e. artist and wood engraver Robert Gibbings) "proved very encouraging", and that although "The book commission hasn't come about yet" it will "as soon as he is able to produce something in my line"; writing that he is in the meantime working on a "set of small designs" commissioned from Gibbings by the Orient Lines, adding that Gibbings gave him "some useful information with regard to tools etc.", and remarking that "He is an extremely nice person isn't he!"; stating that he would like Balston to see the designs he is working on before he sends them (to Gibbings).
