Responding to a request for information about an unspecified individual, stating that he cannot be of much help, noting that his "old chief" out in South Africa, Archbishop Billy Carter, could have given him "a lot of useful information", and observing he doubts that there are any of the Carter family "(the old Bursar's family)" still alive, except possibly the youngest son, who would be too young to remember the things Balston would like to know about his "great teacher."
