Bequest of Gordon N. Ray, 1987.
Summary
Complaining of the difficulty he is having getting money owed him from Phillips (i.e. The Godfrey Phillips Galleries) and asking to borrow £15 ; writing that he is pleased that Balston is acquiring the "watercolor version of the Mourne Mountains", and informing him that he has decided that the view from Balston's window "would probably be best in sunlight with deep shadows", and that he is "waiting for the sun before embarking on it", adding that he shall be "borrowing those figures of yours for a still life when I have finished my 'umbrellas' which I am going to show at the Imperial Art Gallery."
