Summary
Sharing that her mother has written to Mrs. Creswick enclosing the extract from her note regarding Creswick and speaking of her as a dear friend; suggesting that it would be best for Nanny to now write to Mrs. Creswick (possibly referring to the family of Thomas Crewswick, 1811-1869, a noted landscape painter and member of the Royal Academy); expressing excitement at the prospect of Nanny going to Rome in the winter; remarking that she saw the young lady from whom she has been wanting to obtain information about Miss Boyce (Joanna Boyce, an artist who was considered by Ruskin and W.M. Rossetti to be an artist of potential greatness who died as a result of childbirth complications around age 30); noting that Nanny might enjoy her company if she does not wind up spending winter in Rome.
