Conveying that she was sorry not to see Barbara the other night, but that the Rossettis did not come, owing to Dante Rossetti's having a bad cold from painting outdoors; reassuring Barbara that she “lost nothing” though they missed seeing her; asking her to come visit on Sunday; expressing admiration for Barbara's prospectus of the school, and how she has thought of all the cutting out and mending; looking forward to talking more about the school; stating that she is sorry to hear that Nanny cannot find her companion for Rome, and remarking that she has found a capital companion for her in work if she were staying in London.
