Summary
Informing Balston that he has imported some Amontillado Sherry and asking him if he would like to purchase some of it, writing that he has had news of him from Michael Mavrogordato "who was lunching with me in Magdalene on Sunday", and hoping that he is "now entirely rid" his pleurisy; mentioning that he does not "see much of Doorothy nowadays" as "she is with a sister at Chesham Bois", and that his two children are in Cambridge and that he gets to see them fairly often, and noting that it has been "the best partridge year" he has known in 30 years.
