Summary:

Photograph of the four-engine Farman 220 after landing on an airfield in Algiers, with another plane in the background and seven people standing beside the plane and in the shade of one of its wings. After the reconnaissance mission in May 1940 above Arras, the "2/33" group had to fall back on Bordeaux. Seizing a Farman, Saint-Exupéry flew to Algiers from where he hoped to be able to continue the fight. A few days after his arrival, the armistice was signed.
