Summary
Sympathising with her in her disappointment with (Charles Fairfax) Murray and informing her that he may have duplicates of proofs of works by Holman Hunt and Rossetti to offer her "as some consolation tho' small."; noting that "the R.A. committee have not yet met to decide the extent to wh. the 'Sixties' may be represented in the coming show", and that he will write her when they do "respecting yr. possessions you so kindly offer."; enclosing a letter sent to him by his "old friend" (Joseph) Pennell concerning touched proofs; giving his opinion that "To make a portfolio of Albert Goodwins drawings is a delightful idea & not an extravagant one to realize for good examples are neither rare or very costly", although he is "always nervous about portfolios as drawings so often get dispersed."
