Summary
Concerning her efforts to obtain examples of the work of illustrator Frederick Sandys; remarking that his collection of Sandys' work consists of "not much beyond ordinary plates, & one original drawing."; suggesting that she acquire the "portfolio of reproductions" of Sandys work (probably a reference to Reproductions of woodcuts by F. Sandys, 1860-1866, published in London by Carl Hentsche in 1910) and enclosing a prospectus for that publication; noting that portfolio includes all of Sandys' work except his portraits and two lithographs, "the chief of which is Morgan le Fay", and stating that he would be happy to show her the lithograph and drawing from his collection anytime; noting that "Morgan le Fay" is reproduced in Gleeson White's book English illustration; 'the sixties': 1855-70.
