Summary
Instructing her to keep the letter he sent her addressed to him from Alexander Strahan; reminiscing about Strahan and his talents as a publisher and his integrity in his dealings with others; recounting an incident in which Strahan sold a watercolor by (George) Pinwell "for considerably more than he paid for it, and without any suggestion from anybody, spontaneously handed Pinwell the difference.", reflecting that many might think his conduct silly, "But that was Alexander Strahan! He has always looked upon life & things generally from a very noble point of view." and mentioning Strahan's kindness to him when, as a boy, he would deliver woodblocks for "Good Words" and the "Sunday Magazine"; mentioning that Campbell Dodgson is the Keeper of Prints and Engravings at the British Museum ("I am not sure whether he is 'Sir' C.D., or a simple 'Mr.'?"), and suggesting that they wait to hear from "dear old Strahan's report" before contacting him.
