Hoping that Emile is feeling better and that the pain in his chest has gone; commenting on how her brother Jack said that their mother saw Emile on Sunday; describing how her mother asked her if she was continuing to see Emile; telling him that she has been given orders not to see him; wishing that they were married so they did not have to deal with these rules; stating that she will eventually "let them know what I think of all this conduct"; stating that she does not yet have the courage to tell her parents that they are engaged, but she is hoping to find the courage to do so in the future; asking him not to be angry; reassuring him that her thoughts are of him "night and day" and that he is her only love; stating that her love for him increases daily; wishing she could lay her head on his shoulder and go to sleep; referring briefly to her other correspondents; asking him about his plans for Christmas Day and wishing they could be together; asking after Miss P and planning to write to her; noting that she will be at Church the folowing Sunday; guessing that they will not have a chance to see one another for a long time.
