Summary
A collection of letters and documents, primarily by Jonathan Swift. Collection includes groups of letters to the bookseller Benjamin Motte, including a letter in the hand of John Gay in which Swift offers the manuscript of Gulliver's Travels to Motte, and letters to his friend Charles Ford. Other correspondents include John Arbuthnot, Esther Johnson, and William Flower, Baron Castle Durrow. The collection also includes portraits of Swift, Arbuthnot, Johnson, and Esther Vanhomrigh.
