The scrapbooks contain: photographs of the Dreer family and their home at 1520 Spruce Street, Philadelphia; letters exchanged between members of the Dreer family; letters and clippings related to Dreer's profession as a goldsmith and jeweler; original drawings and prints; letters, tickets, and certificates related to Dreer's participation in cultural organizations, including the Union Club, the American Academy of Music, and Fairmont Park; certificates and clippings related to Dreer's volunteer work for the Union Army during and after the Civil War; letters and clippings related to Dreer's autograph collection, particularly the donation of his collection to the Historical Society of Pennsylvania; letters from numerous institutions acknowledging receipt of Dreer's catalogue of his collection; obituaries and other memorial notices for Ferdinand and Abigail Dreer.
