Writing to request the return of a silk handkerchief and nightcap he left at her house during a recent visit, mentioning that he met Lord Hardwicke while hurrying to catch the train and that he is on his way to London where he expects to stay a few days, adding (in reference to Parliament) "any thing more useless and aimless than our present proceedings I cannot conceive."
