Notifying him that he has received a letter from the bankrupt estate of (William) Strahan informing him that a dividend check is ready to be paid, and that Roebuck's signature is required as trustee of his mother's (i.e. Catherine Gore's) marriage settlement in order to access the money; observing that he is aware that Catherine Gore "proved her debt on the estate", but that who her attorney was and what became of the previous dividends he does not know, providing statements from the letter he received which stipulate that documentation must be provided before the dividend can be paid, and informing Gore that once he lets him know "what you wish as to the notice & the requisite form which I have to fill up, I will do with them what you desire."
