Summary
Advising her on the sale of her property "the Duke of Kents lodge", noting that the planned construction of the Halifax and Quebec Railway should serve to increase the properties value and that she should not sell it for "an inadequate sum" although she should not hold out too long in the proces, assuring her that the existing railroad line will not be abandoned once the Halifax and Quebec line has been built, and asking that she "not mention that you named Mr. Nelson to me in the matter" as "He is a gentleman who has rendered me some service and I do not wish to appear to intefer in his affairs".
