Summary
Enclosing a note from (William Charles) Macready and writing that "I hope it may produce what will give satisfaction to the public!"; observing that "there is a class of comic writing not much cultivated here in which you would particularly excell. - The Comedy of 3 Acts ... I think there is a character of yours in the 'Hamiltons' that Macready himself could make a hit in - Why not give us an English Bourgeois Gentilhomme - in 3 Acts - It would be very comic, & you would introduce a different kind of ridicule from that of Molie[re]".
