Summary
Sharing that Charlotte Sarah's father left them an hour ago; cautiously and tentatively proposing that Charlotte come to visit her tomorrow, when her mother and sister, Caroline, will be away; fearing that she is imposing on Charlotte, who is meant to be in the area; suggesting that Charlotte occupy her mother's room, a small one that opens into hers; hoping to have the chance to have Charlotte wholly to herself for awhile, and then Caroline and Anna could take her back on their way to London on Thursday; noting that their "wretchedly small house" prevents her from being able to host Charlotte's sisters as well; asking that Charlotte apologize to Mr. and Mrs. Snell on her behalf for the proposal she is venturing to make; hoping that this can work out because it will give them a chance to say "more than we can by any number of letters"; grieving that she cannot purpose to pick her up in the carriage, which is at her mother's disposal, and Edward only has his Dennet, which she doesn't trust him to drive her in; fearing that her handwriting will be illegible. Postscript inquiring as to whether or not Charlotte's cough is really better.
