Summary
A letter concerning a sum of money that she needs and that Henri doesn't have. He talks about someone named Cochant (?) and some kind of Italian business. Other parties are involved and can't be rushed. They have to wait for some kind of letters to arrive. Cochant's engineer thinks that Rose is getting ahead of herself in this matter and tasting success before anything has even been undertaken. He mentions affairs in the United States and expresses concern about what (Emmanuel Henri Victurnien) Noialles might do on his own. He goes on to talk about Rose's health and gives her advice about it after all the excesses she has engaged in.
