Summary
Remarking on her father's death; noting that they have "returned to our melancholy home" and describing the "sad sad vacuum" and the "irreparableloss we have sustained"; stating that they returned to Town on Tuesday night, but she has felt too unwell to write; reporting that her mother and all in their party have been rather indisposed, but recovering; asking after the health of Mr. Raikes; asking for recommendations regarding their upcoming Tour of the Lakes; noting that her mother's nerves are not that strong and asking for advice in the hopes of providing her with as much comfort as possible; sends love and affection and asks Charlotte Susannah to believe her, "however much stupefied by affliction".
