Summary
Sending updates about her father's seemingly improved health; reporting that the Physicians think her father's health is "considerably better" and that they believe that the pain in his side "arises from a slight obstruction of the liver, or perhaps merely the bowels, acting upon great nervous irritability"; continuing to feel skeptical of the term "nervous" at it applies to her father's condition; observing that her father's pain threshold seems considerably low and anticipating some weakness; offering to visit Charlotte Susannah; feeling ashamed that Charlotte witnessed her "lack of fortitude" and hoping that Charlotte will forgive her apparent weakness and remember her general resolution; conveying her affection for her nephew Charles; sending love from her mother and father to the family; praying that God will "but continue his mercy to us."
