Relaying news of a friend and neighbors suffering at the death of their fifteen-year-old daughter to typhus fever; sharing that the three younger children in this family are "in extreme danger with the same complaint"; remarking on how her neighbors' habits were "singularly domestic"; expressing grief upon hearing of the severe affliction sustained by Charlotte Susannah's friends Mr. and Mrs. Harrison over the loss of their daughter; remarking that she "cannot conceive a greater trial to human fortitude" than the grief they are experiencing as a result of thier daughter's death; reporting that Mrs. Clarke and her baby are in good health; hoping that Charlotte Susannah is glad to be home after her time at the Isle of Wight; relaying that her sisters Mrs. Satoris and Eliza are at Brighton; her father is threatening to send her to Brighton; mentioning the Romney picture and her difficulty finishing it because her visiting friends will not allow her to paint; sending good wishes to Caroline; regretting that her father and mother could not meet up with Charlotte Susannah at Thorncroft.
