Informing her that the manuscript for her article has been sent to the printer in London with instructions to send her a copy of the proof, which he asks her to send to him as soon as possible; stressing the delicacy of the subject and the need to "keep the language of the Review in that high tone which is so characteristic of the spirit of your paper."; stating that he is glad to hear that the Revue de deux mondes has published an article she has described, and observing that "it is manifestly of those who have public influence in France to use it for the improvement of morality and religion as well as government"; requesting that she "abbreviate" her paper shuld it be over 16 pages as space is limited, and noting that (his quarterly review) "Meliora" has had a large circulation.
