Summary
Writing as editor for William Mackenzie to ask that she forward "the two memoires Condé and Corneille" to them by the end of October, stating that they will not be able to allow "much more than a half of the space you mention for the Memoir of Condé", as they cannot "assign so much as four pages to any but a very few English names of the highest historical importance."; asking that she condense the piece as much as possible and adding that only two pages will be allowed for Corneille, "although I suppose except in other English dictionaries of biography his merits have seldom been so briefly told."
