Mentioning that he is writing this letter from Les Deux Magots, where he is waiting for Annette; responding to Diego's inquiry about the bronze doors he created for the Kaufmann family mausoleum on the grounds of Fallingwater, designed by Frank Lloyd Wright; describing Edgar Kaufmann's visit to his studio and his preparations for the casting of the doors; referring to the Fonderie Susse; mentioning that he saw James Johnson Sweeney, who is working on an exhibition and praised various artworks by Matisse; adding that Matisse left today and that he had lots of trouble this summer connected with his daughter (Marguerite Duthuit-Matisse).
