Summary
Writing in response to a request for information on an essay Rose Blaze de Bury had submitted to English publishers for publication; stating that she intends to approach Bentley for an answer regarding the essay and informing her that her husband, Mr. (Bolton) Corney, submitted it to his publishers who declined it on the grounds that they have "already published several articles on Austrian subjects"; on Mr. Corney's advice, the article was given to the publisher (Richard) Bentley, who said he would communicate with Mr. Corney as soon as he had read it, but she has heard nothing since and suggests that Rose Blaze de Bury write to Bentley herself on the matter, remarking that her husband "with all the best intentions in the world is the most tiresome man in matters of business"; sympathizing with Rose Blaze de Bury over the latter's "pecuniary anxieties", giving thanks that she has a comfortable home, writing that she would not trade her peace of mind for "all the gaiety of London and Paris put together", and wishing that Blaze de Bury shared her sentiments, as it would save her "a world on mental toil and worry"; writing that she not been able to procure copies of Blaze de Bury's novels in the countryside, but intends to read them when she is able; mentioning Blaze de Bury's daughter (Yetta) and commenting that she has in her "a ready made heroine" for her next novel; mentioning family matters and sending her regards to Mrs. (Anne) Dunbar.
