Summary
Concerning her enjoyment of a recent visit with Madame de Bury, although she was unhappy to see her "suffering so much", informing her that she slipped down the stairs and hurt her back the next day, and is now "good for nothing"; asking that she come and see them in the company of Lady Smythe; remarking that she thinks the French are "extremely impertinent" and that England has no choice but to keep pace with the threatening military build up of another country, and mentionaing an article on the income tax; writing that (Lord) Normanby is better, but "not quite right yet."
