Thanking her for sending her something and stating that Lady Easthope will settle her obligation to Blaze de Bury for her; asking her to write her a few lines "on literary affairs in France" and asking if there is "anything doing except novels à la Dumas"; asking for recommendations and titles of books, and inquiring if the portrait painter (Ary) Scheffer is in Paris, saying she sat for him at the same time as General Lafayette and asking if it would be possible to get a sketch of that picture.
