Summary
Writing to inform her that they may be obliged to decilne an invitation as they are obliged to return to Galicia in early October, lamenting that her visit to England will be a short and explaining that, as landowners, they are "very poor", having little available money, and must avoid any additional expense during their planned travel between Brussels and Paris; reflecting how pleasant it would be to reunite with family and friends and the contrast between her agreeable times spent with the Blaze de Burys and her current circumstances which afford her little opportunity to hear music, mentioning her children, who sing "at the top of their voices & who I think promise to be musical"; asking Blaze de Bury to recommend a good "French beginning book ... not too dear or too voluminous", and mentioning her sister, Henrietta, who is evidently expecting a child.
