Summary
Writing of her admiration for Blaze de Bury and her many talents; mentioning that she heard Adelaide Kemble perform and comparing her "Norma" to that of (Giulia) Grisi; discussing music and mentioning hearing Strauss play in Paris, thanking her for sending her an autograph, mentioning that she has "read [Eugene Sue's] Mathilde although it was thought rather an improper book for me" and saying that she "found it very interesting but spun out too much ... The story is very improbable after all"; noting that she spent a week in Hampshire with her brother and attended the Basingstoke Ball; sending her and her mother's regards and asking if she has been singing.
