Summary
Requesting the return of her parasol and music which she evidently left the night before and sending back Blaze de Bury's "Vestale", remarking "I suppose after the criticism passed upon it, to disgust us with it, we cannot sing: 'Di contorto un raggio solo' anymore."; asking her to "give Buchanan Rosamonde which I left on the table & beg your sposo to be so good as to write my name in it & thank him very much for it."; quoting M. de Lariss (her future husband, Edmond Baron de Lariss) on the subject of his new home; writing that she dreads a letter she is expecting from his sister Eugénie "who is a bas-bleu & I shall be in a horrid fright about answering it it."; asking that she send her the German master's address and terms, "for as soon as Papa goes to England I shall certainly try to pursuade Mamma to let me have some lessons."
