          Summary
Asking that Madame Blaze de Bury pardon her hasty letter, but she didn't wish to keep her servant waiting, and "also I was so enchanted at the prospect you so kindly afforded me of meeting M. Cousin that I hardly know what I write"; writing that she has "thought with envy of the pleasure that those young men must have experienced who had the advantage of hearing him lecture, imagine the intense enjoyment of listening to that septième Leçon "De Beau dans les Objets" p. 170 171 when spoken by himself, what poetry, what elevation of thought, what grandeur & eloquence in the language of those pages"; asking Madam de Bury to "kindly excuse the deep interest with which I regard this true & excellent friend.".
