          Summary
Saying how sorry her mother was to not find Madame de Bury at home that afternoon and how much she herself looks forward to seeing her tomorrow; regretting that it will be the last time they shall see one another for "many weeks", but adding that she means to press Madame de Bury to come to London to visit her; thanking her for a book and expressing her admiration for an essay by Henri Blaze de Bury on the subject of Goethe; regretting that she will be leaving [Paris] so soon, conveying her appreciation for the de Bury's kindness, and her happiness at having "obtained what I so much wished, which was to see him who has been my constant companion & friend for many years [a probable reference to the meeting Madame de Bury arranged between the writer and Victor Cousin]."
