Expressing her concern for Rose and Henri de Bury's health and her hope that Rose de Bury will come to England before too long; recommending that she read [Emile] Saisset's "Essais sur la philosophie [et la religion] au XIXe siècle," and stating her admiration for the book and her determination to order some copies from Paris to give to "two or three thinking men who take interest in these subjects"; singling out for approval the author's criticism of [Jules] Michelet's "Du prêtre, de la femme [de la famille]", and expressing her own dislike for Michelet's book ("a most hateful & superficial work"), asking that she be informed when Madame de Bury's articles appear in the "Revue des deux mondes" as she wishes very much to read them.
