Summary
Glad to hear that Victor [Marshall, Julia's brother] liked his Old Man [a model that Ruskin was working on of the nearby mountain, the Old Man of Coniston]. He is all [Ruskin's gardener, Dawson] Hersdon's doing, really. He only saw the first mapping and hewed out a tarn or two. Ruskin would like to come say goodbye anytime in the afternoon tomorrow, around five. In a postcript, Ruskin adds that he doesn't care how much more of Kathleen there is, if only he could get any of her there.
