Saying that [Jean-Pau]l Laurens would like Henley to focus on his work in the apse of the Panthéon; referring Henley to [Braum?] for proofs and photographs of Laurens's paintings; including a small sketch of a frieze that Laurens has just completed; writing that Laurens is looking for assistance in finding a British publisher for an edition of Victor Hugo's book Le Pape, illustrated by Laurens; saying that he has just finished his bust of Victor Hugo and describing in detail the process of creating it; comparing it to other busts of Hugo by David d'Angers and another sculptor; adding that he is happy that Swinburne will be writing about the bust and that he has conveyed this news to Hugo.
